RECAP

Parenting styles are influenced by the culture around us. Today’s parents adjust according to the needs of each child, and there is a focus on doing what is best for each child.  In an effort to help their kids be successful, though, some parents may err on the side of over-scheduling them. This creates a lot of stress for both the kids and the parents.  The thing to work towards is balance.  Yes, provide nurturing opportunities for children to help them grow, but while you do that make sure to  schedule self-care for yourself as well so the stressors of life won’t wear you out.

The bottom line is that parents need to schedule time to nurture their spirit and well being. As a parent, when you work towards enjoying a healthier balanced life,  you will manage stress better, and ultimately that will help you parent from a better place.
