I. Eligibility & Personal Qualifications
- Must be a married couple committed to modeling a healthy, loving relationship.
- Demonstrates strong communication, respect, and mutual support in their marriage.
- Upholds faith-based values aligned with the Family Bridges mission, statement of faith, and code of ethics.
- Active in their faith community and demonstrates a lifestyle consistent with spiritual growth.
- Committed to confidentiality and respect for all mentees.
- Displays emotional maturity, patience, and ability to guide sensitive conversations with care and wisdom.


II. Preparation & Mentoring Setup
- Review all mentor materials, program guidelines, and mentoring goals in advance.
- Schedule and confirm one-on-one or small-group mentoring sessions with assigned couples.
- Coordinate with program staff regarding mentee assignments, progress tracking, and communication protocols.
- Pray and prepare spiritually for each mentoring encounter.
- Adapt discussion topics and activities to the unique needs, cultural background, and faith journey of each mentee couple.
- Ensure both mentors clearly understand the mentoring objectives, boundaries, and expected outcomes.

III. Mentoring Sessions
- Create a safe, trusting, and welcoming space for open dialogue.
- Share personal stories and testimonies (with comfort and discretion) to illustrate biblical principles and relational skills.
- Actively listen, ask thoughtful questions, and guide reflection without dominating the conversation.
- Manage session dynamics with grace, ensuring both partners feel heard and valued.
- Model healthy interaction through teamwork, shared insights, and mutual respect during sessions.
- Commit to a minimum of **6 structured mentoring sessions** (adjustable per program needs) and coordinate make-up sessions as required.

IV. Relationship Modeling
- Demonstrate mutual respect, affection, and cooperation throughout all interactions.
- Practice what is taught—show real-life examples of conflict resolution, empathy, forgiveness, and grace under pressure.
- Support each other publicly and avoid contradicting or undermining one another during mentoring.
- Reflect Christ-centered partnership values in words, actions, and decision-making.
V. Mentee Engagement & Growth
- Foster an environment of openness, trust, and nonjudgment.
- Encourage couples to reflect deeply, set personal goals, and apply faith-based principles in daily life.
- Be sensitive to cultural, emotional, generational, and faith differences among mentees.
- Use inclusive, encouraging language that builds unity and hope.
- Provide practical, Scripture-grounded guidance rooted in love, accountability, and restoration.

*VI. Evaluation & Follow-Up
- Document key insights, progress, and prayer needs after each session (confidentially).
- Collect informal feedback from mentees to assess impact and areas for adjustment.
- Reflect together as a mentor couple on strengths, challenges, and personal growth.
- Submit session summaries and attendance records to the program coordinator.
- Participate in mentor debriefings, supervision, or peer support meetings.
- Maintain approved ongoing connection (prayer, check-ins, milestone celebrations) for up to **6 months post-program**.

Professional & Spiritual Growth*
- Attend all required mentor training(s) and annual refresher sessions.
- Engage in continuous learning about marriage mentoring, discipleship, and spiritual leadership.
- Maintain accountability and mentorship within the organization’s mentor network.
- Pray regularly for mentees, their marriages, and for personal guidance in this ministry
