  1. invest in having your children’s father(s)/mother engaged in their lives and to make every effort to be involved in your children’s lives,
  2. slow down romantic relationships and
  3. learn more about what makes healthy relationships to avoid prematurely entering into toxic relationships that put your children at risk.
