Dr. Luis San Roman is a bilingual (English / Spanish) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. He received his B.A. in Psychology and Latino Studies from Northeastern Illinois University, M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University, M.A. in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and his Doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Governors State University.

Dr. Luis considers counseling to be the key component in understanding the underlying issues surrounding our emotional well-being. Clients can expect Dr. Luis to meet them where they are with empathy and intuition. He has experience working with clients across gender, ethnic, generational, and religious differences. His practice is informed by his faith and he believes spirituality can be a vital piece of the therapeutic process when a client is open to the concept.

Dr. Luis specializes in working with couples who are struggling in their relationship, whether it's a need for deeper emotional connection, sexual satisfaction, healing from an affair, or other problems keeping them from a happy relationship. In addition, Dr. Luis works with men/women and adolescents/young adults dealing with a variety of issues including anger, anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions (e.g. sexual addiction, substances), and spiritual concerns. Further, Dr. Luis is certified to administer the Prepare/Enrich Assessment, a valuable tool for pre-marital counseling.

It is Dr. Luis's desire to help clients move beyond their present struggles and develop a healthier, holistic perspective on their lives. He is dedicated to creating supportive yet empowering relationships that allow his clients to obtain the skills and knowledge they need to continue the process of healing.

In his free time, Dr. Luis enjoys blogging, reading, and spending quality time with his beloved wife and daughters.
