From Coast to Castle: Your Spanish Adventure Awaits

Embark on a journey to the picturesque Mediterranean coast and the breathtaking mountains of Spain. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and unique experiences that Spain has to offer. Join us for an incredible 12-day adventure from May 2 to May 13, 2024.

About the Trip

Join Family Bridges to explore iconic cities such as Barcelona, Valencia, and Cambrils, while also venturing into the tranquil Pyrenees Mountains and the revered Montserrat. Your trip will include:

  • A guided tour of Barcelona, including a visit to the awe-inspiring Sagrada Familia.
  • A guided visit to Montserrat with cogwheel train
  • An opportunity to partake in a retreat at a 10th-century medieval castle nestled in the Pyrenees.
  • Leisure time to hike and explore the natural wonders of the region.
  • City tours of Valencia and Albufera, immersing you in the local charm and beauty.
  • Cultural experiences, local events, and much more!


Accommodation Options

Retreat at the Castle (May 4-7): Limited to only 15 participants, this exclusive option offers a retreat led by Dr. Alicia La Hoz, centered around the theme "Who’s on First? Your Family or Your Business?" Nestled in the serene Pyrenees, the medieval castle provides a tranquil setting for introspection and rejuvenation. Choose this option for a unique and immersive experience.

  • Option A: Retreat at the Castle (May 4-7) - Limited to 15 persons. Enjoy the serene ambiance of a 10th-century castle in the Pyrenees. Learn more about the castle.
  • Option B: Nearby Hotel in the Pyrenees (or similar) - For those seeking a comfortable stay in the picturesque Pyrenees. Explore the hotel.


We will do our best to stick to the following itinerary, however, depending on weather and other factors outside of our control, it is subject to a slight change:

  • May 2: Arrival in Barcelona, Welcome dinner
  • May 3: Barcelona City Tour and Sagrada Familia visit
  • May 4: Transfer to Llaes with stop in Montserrat
  • May 5-7: Retreat at the Castle or leisure time at the hotel
  • May 8-10: Exploring Valencia and Albufera
  • May 11: Enjoy Cambrils and its delights
  • May 12: Return to Barcelona
  • May 13: Departure

Registration and Costs: To secure your spot, follow these steps:

  1. Register online with Family Bridges and make a 30% deposit to reserve your spot. Limited to 40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
  2. Await a call from our travel agent, who will guide you through the process.
  3. Provide necessary documents such as a copy of your passport and emergency contact details.

Costs vary based on occupancy type, chosen accommodations, and optional add-ons. All full-price options include a generous $300 donation to support Family Bridges' initiatives.

*Transportation to and from the airport is approx. $50-70 extra (depending on arrival time and size of the group)

Important Dates and Payments:

  • 30% deposit: Due by September 30, 2023
  • 40% of the total: Due by November 15, 2023.
  • Final 30% of the total: Due by February 1, 2024.

Travel Arrangements: You are responsible for booking your own flights. We recommend Ardor Travels, a supporter of Family Bridges, to ensure a seamless journey. Please plan to arrive in Barcelona by 5 PM on May 2, 2024, and your return should be scheduled for May 13.

Note: Spain's terrain may pose challenges for individuals with mobility issues. Participants should be prepared for walking up to 2-3 miles daily. Additionally, luggage is limited to one suitcase and one handbag.
